Sherie earned her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Psychology (BGS), and her Master’s Degree from Utah State University in School Counseling. She holds a level 2 school counselor's license.
Sherie was married for close to 33 years before her husband unexpectedly passed away in November, 2018. She has 7 children, 4 of which are adopted, 3 son- in- laws, 11 grandchildren and 2 cats.
Sherie is a co-founder of Imperial Healing Estate, a residential treatment center in Provo, UT for recovering female adolescents. Teenagers are her life and she has served youth for over 20 years in many different capacities.
Owner/Founder of Family 7 Foundations, a company that does in-home teaching for families at risk of losing their children to the foster care system. Sherie wrote the curriculum for the 25 affirmation/lessons, and developed the program that is now serving families in the state of Utah.
Additional work experience, in-part, includes: Teaching Math, Abnormal Psychology, Tools for Life, and other courses. She has written curriculum for both middle school and high school courses. She created a program for Pacific Islander students that is still available at Westlake High School. She has worked as a high school counselor and an Academic Director. She has served as a 504 Coordinator, been on the board in Colorado on the District 20/Improvement Committee and worked on several School Improvement Committees. She served with Communities that Care as the At Risk Youth – Lead, among other academically directed achievements.
Sherie is an adopted child and started out her life in California as an infant with her biological mom in a maternity home – she learned this in on Mother's Day, 2020! Ohana Beginnings has been Sherie’s dream for decades. She feels both humbled and grateful at the realization of that dream and the many volunteers that have made it happen.
She loves hiking, camping, reading, creatures, playing games, and traveling, but most of all spending time with her family. Sherie has a great desire to see the young women of Ohana Beginnings gain the confidence and the skills they need to be successful in accomplishing their greatest dreams. She believes ANYONE can successfully realize their dreams if given the vision, access, opportunity and skills to do so.
Audrey has demonstrated her entrepreneurial talents by co-starting and running 6 different successful companies over the last 20 years: All American Enterprises, Tueller Construction, All American Home Builders, ACE Property Inspections, All Start Gymnastics, and Elite Electrical.
She has attended UVU for a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Business Entrepreneurial Start-ups.
She has extensive accounting, marketing, business management and real estate development experience that spans over 20 years. She worked as a teacher at American Heritage for 3 years and loved every minute of her experience teaching both Math and Life/Study Skills.
As a volunteer she has mentored and coached countless numbers of youth for many years and also has worked as a volunteer for hospice.
Audrey is the proud mother of 4 children and one dog. In her spare time (which is rare) she loves to play any outdoor sport, or attend any sporting event, especially when it is watching one of her children.
She loves the outdoors, traveling, learning and any great challenge. She also loves to coach cheerleading and gymnastics and taking care of any teenager in need. She will always cheer the underdog!
Christian is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of Utah, where he currently serves as the Director of Alpine Academy, a private residential therapeutic school for teenage girls from all over the nation. He earned a Master’s of Mental Health Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix in 2008, and prior to that a bachelor’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University. He has worked with teens and families since 2003, beginning with Alpine Academy’s parent company Utah Youth Village as an in-home family preservation specialist. He currently serves on the board of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), and is a certified facilitator for the Utah Youth Village and Alpine Academy in the material of the Arbinger Institute. As one of seven children growing up and now a father of three boys, Christian’s life has always revolved around family and it is his greatest interest to see that families have the knowledge and skills to thrive in their relationships.
Annie comes from a family that does not shy away from hard work, and spent her first 21 years working alongside her two older brothers and her parents. She loves and holds motherhood to be her most sacred calling in life. She is happily married to an amazing, supportive man. Together they enjoy bdoating, vacationing, game nights, movie nights, and just doing anything with their family.
Kris Hammond has spent over 37 years in education, serving some of our most vulnerable populations. She has earned her PhD (ABD) from the University of Utah in Special Ed. and Administration. She earned both her undergrad and Master’s degrees (Educational Psychology) from Brigham Young University. Kris also hold 9 certifications in education. She spent almost 10 years running the Young Mother’s program for Provo School District and truly loved working with these great young women.
Just a few of her career experiences include: Writing curriculum, grant writing, Chair Region V Legislative Committee Association Career Technology Education, Chair Central Utah Independent Living Center, ACCESS Program Coordinator and Adjunct Faculty at BYU, University of Utah, and UVSC.
Kris’s vast education and work experience make her an invaluable member of the Ohana team.
Riley Reeves has been working in the health services industry for most of his career. He has earned two associate degrees from LDS Business College: Entrepreneurship and General Studies. He is also finishing his Bachelor’s at Western Governors University in Healthcare Administration.
Riley has 5 years experience working with 501(c)(3) organizations. He led service trips to different orphanages around the world for Kaiizen and now sits on their Board of Directors.
Riley has worked in many different fields including: Two years working at a residential treatment facility for troubled youth, working in a lab for an energy-based start-up then moving up into a business analyst role. He managed a billing department for a therapy clinic. He was also a general manager for a restaurant and he is currently working as director of a retirement home.
Riley and his wife have one child. In his free time, Riley likes to go bouldering, spend time with his family, immerse himself in different cultures, listen to podcasts, hike, and camp.
Amy became a licensed midwife in 2017 because she is passionate about returning birth to women, using evidenced-based research and natural birth techniques. She inspires and educates mothers to make informed choices in their own health and offers a quality comprehensive midwifery model of care. She trusts in a woman's body and has faith in the natural process of pregnancy and restoring normalcy to birth.
Amy strongly believes every woman has the power to birth her baby in a natural, comfortable and safe environment. She uses a holistic approach with her family and her clients and offers a variety of options for optimal health using whole foods, herbs, essential oils and medication when needed.
Amy currently serves on the South Valley Leadership Academy Board and with the Utah Women's and Newborn Quality Collaborative (UWNQC) Out of Hospital Birth sub committee. She holds a Bachelor's of Art from the University of Utah and many other health related CEU's. She has volunteered feeding those experiencing homelessness, and extensively with refugees in Las Vegas before moving to Utah in 2018. She adores her family which includes a doting husband, 6 active children, her supportive parents and a fun-loving Alaskan malamute. When she's not mothering, reading, home-schooling or exercising, she loves helping women recognize their strength and become empowered as they make important choices about the birth and health of their bodies and their babies.
For David, there is nothing more rewarding in his job than helping clients with adoptions. Whether a client is placing a child for adoption or adopting a child, the adoption process is one full of selflessness and a desire to enrich the lives of children. The law is at its best when it gives children the best path to a successful future.
David has worked as a family law attorney for the past eight years. He started his career as a public defender in Arizona before moving to Utah in 2011, and he has been helping families with adoption and custody issues ever since. His career has been focused on helping individuals through difficult challenges. As an attorney for Corbett & Gwilliam, PLLC, David uses his passion, experience, and creativity to serve his clients. He believes in his clients, and he explores many alternatives to solve their problems and enforce their rights.
David graduated from Brigham Young University in 2003 before attending the Baylor University School of Law, where he earned his law degree in 2006. In addition to his law practice, David is an avid soccer player. He enjoys camping with his wife and four children, where he always reads Edgar Allen Poe stories by the fire. He is fluent in Spanish.
Stanley Olson has worked in the health care industry since 2003, primarily in sales and business development, working extensively with insurance providers, hospital administrators, surgery centers and physicians in every specialty. He has also worked as an international consultant with a large multinational engineering firm. His latest adventure includes working with a Fin-Tech, cryptocurrency tax and accounting start up company.
He holds and MBA in International Business Management from Thunderbird University and a Bachelors of Arts from Brigham Young University.
Stan has volunteered through church and community service throughout his life, including time with Boy Scouts of America, the African Community Center (helping refugees get settled into their new American homes), Friends in the Desert (feeding homeless individuals in Las Vegas) and a service mission in Brazil.
Stan loves his wife (almost as much as his Alaskan malamute loves him). He enjoys skiing, hiking, and time with his extremely active 6 kids in their many endeavors (homeschooling, parkour, oil painting, Millennial Choir, volunteering at This is the Place Park, etc.). More than anything Stan enjoys a little quiet time, which doesn't exist in this phase of life, and he's happy all the same.
Kathy Randall has attended Brigham Young University and has worked as a payroll accountant for Vincent M. Tilby, CPA, for over 25 years.
Kathy is known for her charitable accomplishments in her church, neighborhood and other charitable organizations. Her work has touched many, but she serves people one at a time, one-on-one, with kindness, non-judgement and with a consistent and enduring love.
She has been married for 39 years, has 6 children and 13 grandchildren. He greatest loves are her faith, her family and serving others.
Baileigh Beebe is a junior at Utah State University and is double majoring in elementary education and journalism emphasizing social media. Her dream is to find a way to combine those two majors and do the marketing/social media for nonprofits that help children and education.
She loves anything involving water- like kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, swimming, and tanning on the beach. She also loves photography (especially film photography), painting, going to art galleries/shows, traveling, and playing games. She hopes to one day have her own dark room in her house.
Baileigh loves Ohana Beginnings and the mission here. She served her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines, Texas, and Hawaii. The term ohana and the aloha spirit has a very special place in her heart, which is exactly what Ohana is all about. She’s excited to be a part of this team and for the chance to help so many amazing women.
Dr. Stephanie Nainani is a practicing OB GYN in Salt Lake City and Ogden, Utah. She has devoted her career to caring for women of all ages. Dr. Nainani believes that the contribution that women make as mothers can never be underestimated. One of her greatest desires is to see mom-baby pairs treated with the care and reverence they deserve and supported fully in our society and families.
Stephanie graduated from Loma Linda Medical School in 2002 and has served her patients as a practicing OB GYN for over 20 years. As a member o the American Association of Pro-life OB GYN's, she joins thousands of other obstetric professionals in supporting the sanctity of all life, including maternal and fetal life. Stephanie also serves as medical advisor to Withyou.org, which provides comprehensive, wrap-around care to mothers seeking to place their child in a loving adoptive home.
Stephanie lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, Greg, and her two beautiful daughters. When not at work, she directs a local Pathfinder youth group, a co-ed club for kids aged 10-17, providing weekly educational and recreational opportunities to build kids up physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She and her family are often found outdoors, enjoying camping, biking, and hiking in our beautiful mountains.
