Amy Olson
Midwife Consultant
Amy became a licensed midwife in 2017 because she is passionate about returning birth to women, using evidenced-based research and natural birth techniques. She inspires and educates mothers to make informed choices in their own health and offers a quality comprehensive midwifery model of care. She trusts in a woman’s body and has faith in the natural process of pregnancy and restoring normalcy to birth.
Amy strongly believes every woman has the power to birth her baby in a natural, comfortable and safe environment. She uses a holistic approach with her family and her clients and offers a variety of options for optimal health using whole foods, herbs, essential oils and medication when needed.
Amy currently serves on the South Valley Leadership Academy Board and with the Utah Women’s and Newborn Quality Collaborative (UWNQC) Out of Hospital Birth sub committee. She holds a Bachelor’s of Art from the University of Utah and many other health related CEU’s. She has volunteered feeding those experiencing homelessness, and extensively with refugees in Las Vegas before moving to Utah in 2018.
She adores her family which includes a doting husband, 6 active children, her supportive parents and a fun-loving Alaskan malamute. When she’s not mothering, reading, home-schooling or exercising, she loves helping women recognize their strength and become empowered as they make important choices about the birth and health of their bodies and their babies.
